Cămara de la Munte

Cămara de la Munte

WHO IS CĂMARA DE LA MUNTE?

Ela & Sebastian's dream turned into a reality when they moved to Mărișel in the Apuseni Mountains. A mountainous area with a fairytale landscape far from the effects of industrialisation and pollution. In order to earn a living they decided to build a small, family guesthouse to offer people their hospitality and traditional, healthy food from local ingredients.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

With a love for nature and a passion for the simple things it was an easy decision for Ela & Sebastian to move to Mărișel to truly value village life and use the natural ingredients of the area to create traditional food products. The recipes are simple and traditional, family recipes. When the products such as jams, syrups and teas were so popular with their guests, they decided to produce them for their guests to take home and to sell to a wider audience.

THE PRODUCE...

'Cămara de la Munte' itself means 'Pantry of the Mountains' and this really does define the business. The majority of the produce is made from spontaneous flora that is collected in the Apuseni Mountains at over 1200m high such as mountain blueberries, raspberries, elderflower, rosehips & cranberries, that are the minimally processed to make teas & syrups with a unique fresh taste and exceptional aroma. A true taste of nature.
