Made from an authentic recipe and cooked slowly over a wood fire, this traditional spread has a velvety texture, a fragrant aroma, and the deep, comforting flavour that makes zacuscă such a beloved part of Romanian cuisine.
Prepared at the end of the summer, when vegetables are at their peak, this zacuscă preserves the warmth and taste of the season for the colder months. 100% natural and free from additives, it brings together roasted aubergines, red peppers, onions, tomatoes, oil & seasoning, slowly cooked into a rich savoury spread that is perfect spread on fresh bread or served alongside your favourite meal.
Behind every jar is Lădița Verde, a family producer from the village of Macea in Arad county, where vegetables are grown with care and transformed into preserves using recipes passed down through generations. Each batch is handmade in small quantities, ensuring the authentic taste of traditional Romanian winters.
