These delicious handmade, dried pasta squares, known as 'răstăuțe' are made from white flour, a little salt and free range eggs. Made from a traditional, family recipe the product is 100% natural and completely free from additives & preservatives, the pasta is dried gently at room temperature.
This shape of pasta is a regional speciality and is certified as a traditional product by the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture. They are perfect for adding to soups and broths or for making a sweet dish with warm milk, sugar & walnuts.
Răstăuțe Maramureșene use as many vegetables and fruits as possible from their small countryside garden in their pasta, where they lovingly take care of them every weekend. The vegetables enjoy slow growth, no chemicals and gentle sunlight. Anything they don't find in their own garden, they source from gardens of small local producers in the area. The flour they use is carefully chosen and of high quality, specially made for pasta and produced in Romania from Romanian cereals. Their desire is to produce healthy, tasty & colourful pastas which bring joy to your taste buds and into your homes.
