Description 

Birthwort, also known as Aristolochia (Aristolocia clematitis) is a plant that has historically been used in traditional medicine. It is important to note that this tincture is ONLY for external use. It can be used externally in compresses at the problem area but the tincture can be toxic if consumed internally.

It is thought to be the natural solution for viral infections of the skin as it has antibiotic, antiviral, antiseptic, healing and regenerating effects. Its recommended use is for varicose veins, varicose ulcers, eczema, itching, hives, shingles, cancerous condition, psoriasis, external haemorrhoids, acne and scars. (Do not apply to open wounds).

Extracts such as tinctures offer a convenient alternative to herbal teas. Many are used in food, food supplements, cosmetics and as an ingredient by herbalists.  It is important to note that whilst many people find herbal remedies helpful, individual responses can vary.

External use: Apply a local compress or swab at the affected zone. It is recommended to test the sensitivity to the product beforehand on a small portion of skin.
