Description
A loose leaf, herbal tea infusion of dried wild pansy (Viola tricolor) or heartsease. 100% natural & free from additives.
Preparation: In a cup of tea (250 ml) pour hot water over 1 spoon full of the herb and leave it covered for 15 minutes, then strain. You can drink 2-4 cups a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach. For external use on the skin, make a concentrated infusion with 2 spoonfuls of tea with 250ml of hot water. Leave to infuse & then use as a compress directly on the skin.
Wild pansy is though to be beneficials for promoting healthy skin. Due to its anti inflammatory, anti allergic and antioxidant properties is is thought to be able to help soothe skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and acne. Wild pansy has also historically been used to alleviate symptoms of respiratory conditions such as coughs, bronchitis and asthma.
The medicinal plants and fruits that are used as ingredients for the products made by Măgură Monastery are collected from the spontaneous flora of the surroundings of the monastery, in the area of the Cindrel Mountains or are grown in the monastery's herb garden. The entire process, from picking, drying, shredding, preparation, packaging and labelling, is done by hand. Their recipes are their own and are based on old traditional and monastic remedies. The preparation processes aim to preserve the natural properties of the plants and fruits used.
