This sea buckthorn syrup is made from 70% cold pressed sea buckthorn juice, ginger & 30% raw polyfloral honey... that's it! Absolutely no added water, preservatives or sugars. It is packed with sweet, sharp and citrus flavours, we would say the taste lies somewhere between a sweet mango or apricot and a tart lemon with the added zingyness of fresh ginger.
The sea buckthorn berries are collected from late summer, sorted and washed by hand and made into this delicious syrup in small batches in the traditional way. In their raw state the fruits are extremely sour which is also why they pair so deliciously well with the natural sweetness of honey to provide you with a balanced, natural dose of energy.
Sea buckthorn is a shrub that grows in the coastal sands and mountainous regions of Romania. It has been used for many centuries as a food, a traditional medicine, a skin treatment and is often described as a 'miracle plant'.
It really is a powerhouse food, containing a multitude of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. In fact it contains twice as much Vitamin C as rosehip and ten times as much as citrus fruits!! Wow.
It is frequently used as a natural remedy for inflammation, increasing immunity, helping the body to eliminate toxins, eczema and skin conditions and its' natural healing effects.
Shake well before use. Recommended dilution is 1:5.
50-100ml for adults. 25ml for children.
Suggested to be consumed first thing in the morning.
This product is lightly pasteurized and has an expiry date of 6 months from production.
