Mark possesses a wealth of information about Romanian traditions and is eager to tell the stories and legends behind each motif on the wooden spoons. He hand carves the wooden spoons in his workshop in the medieval city of Sighisoara, Transylvania.
He creates spoons with stories that speak fondly about the power and sincerity of manual work, done with passion, skill and care. It is a family tradition to work with wood and he takes great pride in his craft.
