Description
Aronia berries also known as chokeberries are small, dark purple berries with a unique, sweet, tart, earthy flavour. We would describe them as having a taste somewhere between a tart apple, a black cherry and a dry red wine. They are a power house berry rich in antioxidants and nutrients.
This jam is made pure and simply from aronia berries (chokeberry) and sugar. The berries are picked in the Apuseni mountains, then sorted and washed by hand. The jam is produced in small batches from spontaneous mountain flora in the traditional way - in a cauldron like pan over a wood fire, by hand. 100% natural & free from flavours, dyes & preservatives.
