THE STORY

WHO IS CERBUL ACRU?

Cerbul Acru is a range of flavoured vinegars produced by 'Fabrica Otet de Slatina' the vinegar factory of Slatina. They are located in Rasnov, Brasov County in Transylvania. The business was founded in 1970 and produces one of the very few vinegars obtained by 100% natural fermentation.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

Their grape suppliers careful tend the vines all year round. Freshly harvested grapes and other fruits (either apples, apricots, blackcurrants or sour cherries) are cold pressed to produce juice. The fruit juice is then fermented for 14 days in oak acetates to create these quality vinegars. A 100% natural product free from additives. This is not like the majority of fruit vinegars that simply have flavourings of fruit added to a standard vinegar.
